The ISCTE University of Lisbon hosted a conference of the European Academy of Management (EURAM). EURAM is the top European conference at which leading scientists and business representatives speak. For example, this year's conference was attended by Jay Barney, one of the creators of the firm's resource theory and editor of the Academy of Management Review. The conference annually gathers more than 1,500 participants. In this, representatives of different countries gathered to discuss pressing issues related to management in the face of uncertainty, and the rapid digitalization of the economy, to find solutions to problems in the field of ecology and sustainable development of society. To submit your research, you need to go through a serious selection based on double blind peer review. This year, from the Department of Economics and Finance and the IDLab, the conference was attended by:

  • Julia Naydenova with the study  “Voluntary R&D Disclosure and Intellectual Property Rights Protection: The Case of Russian Pharmaceutical Companies”
  • Maria Molodchik co-authored with Peter Parshakov, Sofia Paklina and Jeff Downing with the paper “Web strategies of global companies: visibility vs. authority»
  • Peter Parshakov co-authored with Elena Shakina and Angel Barajas with the study “Competitive Balance and Market Size: Evidence from eSports”.
Each of the studies presented sparked a lively discussion, which resulted in valuable comments and observations. We are waiting for the presented studies as published papers!
