The School of Economics and Finance was established in 2014 through a merger of the Departments of Economics Theory, Accounting and Auditing, Economic Modelling, and Financial Management. The School is headed by Tatiana Bukina.
The aim of the School is to create and develop a community of academics and professional practitioners from the fields of theoretical and applied economics, corporate finance and financial markets.

June 3rd saw a presentation given by Maria Molodchik, a senior research fellow of the ID Lab, on her joint paper with Professor Carlos Fernandez-Jardon Fernandez “Intangible-driven performance: SMEs versus large companies”. In their paper, they compare the financial performance of SMEs to that of large companies, focusing on the role of intangibles. Also June 3rd witnessed a meeting of the Lab’s leading international researchers with the HSE-Perm young researchers. They discussed the topic “The University: created value and values”, including motivational factors for researchers. The leading research fellows told the young Lab researchers about their careers.
